Mac OS X︰
Mac OS X 版 10.4 以上版本能使用可正確對齊進階格式化硬碟機的 GUID 分割區配置表 (GPT) 方案。使用 Apple Partition Manager (APM) 的 Mac OS 版本將無法正確對齊分割區，亦無法提供最佳效能。

Linux：
Linux 內核已向 WD 進階格式化硬碟機 (版本 2.6.31 以上) 所使用的替代磁區大小和偏移量提供特定支援。進階格式化參數可在高於此內核版本 2.6.34 的 sysfs 檔案系統中獲得。

Mac OS X:
Mac OS X version 10.4 onwards can use the GUID Partitioning Table scheme (GPT) which will align an Advanced Format drive correctly. Mac OS versions using Apple Partition Manager (APM) will not align partitions correctly and will not provide optimum performance.

Linux:
The Linux kernel has had specific support for the alternate sector sizes and offsets used by WD Advanced Format disk drives since version 2.6.31. Advanced Format parameters are available in the sysfs file system from this kernel version 2.6.34 onwards.
